My career began in the medical field as a Certified Medical Assistant, but I soon felt called to education. I discovered a deep passion for laying strong academic and developmental foundations that help children thrive—not just in school, but in life. At the age of 35, while working full-time as an instructional assistant, raising two daughters, and supporting my husband who is a pastor, I returned to school to earn my teaching degree. This experience instilled in me a profound empathy for working parents and a lifelong commitment to encouraging others to pursue their goals, no matter the challenges.
Teaching in a Christian environment is my calling, and I count it a privilege to lead where faith and learning go hand in hand. One of my favorite first-day traditions is reading The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn, a heartfelt story that helps ease both parent and child anxiety transition to kindergarten.
Sharing my passion for teaching with my two granddaughters, Olivia and Ava, brings me immense joy. I am especially grateful to be able to teach and lead in a Christian environment where faith and learning go hand in hand. I am continually inspired by the authenticity and unconditional love of young children—nurturing their growth both academically and spiritually is truly a privilege.
Today, I find great joy in supporting families as partners in education, motivating others through my own journey, and leading with compassion, purpose, and a Christ-centered vision for excellence.
What continues to fuel my passion is the incredible transformation I witness in children. I often hear parents say, “They’re shy and don’t talk much,” but within 30 days in my classroom, those same students are dancing, singing, and engaging with joy and confidence. These moments affirm what I believe with all my heart: that this work is not just a career, it’s a calling. Teaching and now stepping into educational leadership is my assignment from God.
I am passionate about nurturing both academic and spiritual growth in young learners, and I believe Christian education plays a crucial role in shaping children’s hearts as well as their minds. As a wife, mother of two daughters, and Godmother to many, I understand the deep trust families place in educators and school leaders. One of my favorite children’s books is My Dog Rosie by Isabelle Harper, a story that reminds me of the quiet power of empathy and connection—two qualities I strive to bring into every classroom and school community I serve.
As a Christian administrator, I am committed to leading with integrity, compassion, and a Christ-centered vision. My goal is to build a school culture where teachers are supported, students thrive, and God is glorified in all we do.
